Magnolia Gas Station In Jarrell, TX

So I got the day off from work today and with that valuable time, I decided to head up to Jarrell to get a few pics of this gas station.  The Georgetown View ad magazine that residents of Georgetown get in the mail every month had an article about a guy who shoots places like this in Texas and he had some shots of this gas station.  I kept it in the back of my mind for a day like today.  Wish I could remember his name.  Oh well.

This place was an old Magnolia gas station that was built in the 1940s.  Whenever it stopped selling gasoline, it became - among other things - a sign store and an ice cream shop.  Right now it is some kind of gun store.  I'm glad the owners kept it looking like the old gas station though.  Still has the old pumps out front!

It was kind of yucky weather-wise so I tried to make it a little more moody to reflect the crappy day.

I hope you enjoy the photo and thanks for dropping by.
