Round Rock Donuts and Lighted Tower

We're going a little ways back with this shot as I have with a few of the others I've posted recently, specifically 2013..  This is a shot from the side of Round Rock Donuts looking at the Round Rock Water tower while it was lit during the Christmas holiday in 2013.  This is an HDR converted to monochrome to make it a little more interesting.

A Fashion Wynn Sunrise

There are some great things to shoot in Vegas when the sun is coming up and I thought this angle from the Fashion Show Mall while looking at the Wynn Hotel and Casino was one of the good angles.  What do you think?

The Tron Monorail

We went to Florida several years ago for a combination business trip for Eileen, family visit and overall mini-vacation.  When Eileen went to her conferences, I went into Epcot and took some snaps.  I was a bit perturbed because I forgot the tripod plate for my camera, yet I brought the tripod.  Without the plate though, the tripod is useless.  Anyway, I got a few nice pics and when I saw the monorail go by, I had to get a quick snap!  Obviously the Tron: Legacy movie was either coming out or just came out.  It was pretty good, too!

Gas Pumps of Yore

This is a fun little shot I took while wandering Round Rock, TX one evening during Christmas time in 2013.  This old Texaco station is now an allergy clinic or law firm or some such thing, but at least they kept some of the old pumps and signs there.  Kinda cool, huh?

Heading Down Stein's Way

Deer Valley was my favorite ski resort when we went to Park City, UT this past Feb.  The runs were good, wasn't super crowded and the food up there is the best of all the resorts in PC.  One of the runs I skied the most was Stein's Way.  It was a combo of blue and black, if I remember correctly.  And this shot here was the view shortly after getting off the lift and heading down.

I took this one with the iPhone and edited in Snapseed for those who care.

Denver Performing Arts Complex #2

I'm going back a few years for this one..  This is a shot inside the atrium portion of the Denver Performing Arts Complex in Denver, CO.  On one of our last nights there, I decided to go shoot this place because there were some cool angles in there and it was close to our VRBO where we were staying.  Now, our good friend Eugene works there as their manager of security ops, I believe, right Eugene?  :-)  Pretty awesome!

Walking in Front of TX Capitol

I took this shot during a lunch hour one day a year or two ago. The Texas Capitol is close to work and a good place to practice. I should probably go back there since it's been a while. Another reason it's nice is because the legislature only meets for 5-6 months every other year, so it's less hectic to get around there most of the time, not to mention the minimal amount of damage the govt can do because of it. :-)

Another Shipwreck Beach Sunrise

We're going back to Hawaii for this shot, specifically Shipwreck Beach at sunrise.  I took so many shots there because it's just super-beautiful.  Eileen went with me and she has the patience of a saint because I was all over the place and taking a lot of time.  But, it's Hawaii, so no wonder!! :-)

Alaskan Pond

When we went to visit our friends Richard and Sandy in Alaska last year, they were kind enough to take us out in their RV for a little sight-seeing.  They live in Anchorage and on the first day of our visit we went in and around Anchorage to see what was out there.  Some where outside of the city we stopped at this pond to see if we could spot any wildlife.  This is the type of place that moose just love.  Unfortunately there weren't any moose here, but just down the road from here we saw a big bull moose!  I couldn't get a good shot of him because he was back in the trees, but it sure was cool to see him!

Hilton GV Lobby on the Strip

Here's a fun little shot I took while waiting for our friend Mike in the lobby of the Hilton Grand Vacation Hotel on the Strip in Las Vegas.  The hotel itself is right next to Circus Circus and is a nice place to stay if you ever go out there.  They have a nice pool as well.  No restaurants, but you can get decent snack food poolside and they have a little convenience store downstairs that sells good snacks as well.
