Correa and Martinez

This is a shot of the Astros new rookie sensation - Carlos Correa - leading off first base with Victor Martinez of the Tigers getting ready for a throw from the pitcher Justin Verlander (not pictured) during the Tigers v Astros game in Houston on August 15th 2015.  The Tigers won 4-2 in 11 innings.

For this shot I developed the raw file using the Fuji Classic Chrome film simulation, opened up the shadows a tad in LR and added a little vignette.  That's it.  No sharpening or noise reduction whatsoever.

Lastly, I also used Fuji's XC50-230mmF4.5-6.7 OIS lens which is a very inexpensive telephoto zoom lens.  It's not as well made as say their 55-200 lens as it made of plastic and the glass may not be quite as sharp.  However, with manual focus and the focus peaking of the camera, it can still render pretty good results.  I think I would rather have the 55-200 lens, but I'm OK with this one for now, mainly because it's $150 cheaper than the 55-200.  If the 100-400 lens ever comes out, that's my next pipe dream.  Can't wait for that!!!
