Opening Day of MLB

Today marks opening day for Major League Baseball.  It technically started last night with the Cardinals beating the Cubs 3-0 in Chicago.  Supposedly the Cubs are one of the favorites to go to the World Series this year.  Right.  Sure.  That and $5 will get you a mediocre cup of coffee at Starbucks.  But, I digress..

So to commemorate opening day, I thought I'd post a shot of Busch Stadium, home of the Cardinals that I took from atop the Gateway Arch in St Louis.  It was very rainy the day I took this so I took a LOT of liberties in post-processing.  The most obvious is the black and white conversion, but I also bumped the contrast waaaayyy up, masked in a red filter to bring out the red seats in the stadium, a neutral filter for the rest and then I did a little tilt-shift effect on it to bring a little more attention to the stadium.  Now, if I could've just got someone in St Louis to move that stinkin' Millenium Hotel out of the way when I took the photo and then move it back, that would've been perfect!
