Bronco Rider #2

This shot isn't particularly interesting as far as what the horse is doing at this very moment, however the rider looks like he might be in for some trouble.  That ride's the reason I'm posting this shot..

You see, I think this guy was able to stay on this horse for the standard 8 seconds. But when it came time for the dismount, he ran into some trouble.  According to our friend Ellen, whose husband used to do this, the rider here apparently tied his hand to the saddle of the horse.  When he tried to get off the horse, his hand stayed with the saddle and the horse pretty much dragged him on the ground across the whole arena dangerously close to the horse's hooves. The horse finally stopped when he slammed himself and the rider into a closed metal chute gate.  Needless to say, the rider did not get up very quickly but eventually was able to walk off.  The horse was fine.  You'll remember how I mentioned you have to have a special amount of crazy to do this?  Well this guy had some extra-spacial crazy in him.  We were all stunned when it happened, but were happy to see him walk off.  I doubt he'll be riding this weekend...
