5 Day B&W Challenge #2 (Relaxing in Poipu)

So here's my 2nd shot for the 5 Day Black and White Challenge.  My first shot for this challenge was with a "serious" camera - a Nikon D90 DSLR.  That camera was my first "real" camera and I learned a lot with it.  But, other things I've learned throughout my photographic journey is that the camera doesn't necessarily mean a good photographer.  Hence this shot... I took this with a compact point and shoot Canon S100.  It's basically just a regular camera that one can use to shoot everyday and anyone can use it.  The great thing about it is that it takes great pictures.  Of course if the person using is knows how to do that, the pictures can be just as nice if not nicer than anything taken from a DSLR.  I sometimes have a hard time judging my own shots, but maybe this one is nice enough to be considered good.

Anyway, it's my second shot in the 5 Day Black and White Challenge and I took it on the island of Kauai during our Hawaii trip last year.  I just got done snorkeling (this Canon S100 and housing is great for that btw) and I wanted to get a nice shot of the location.  The building in the background is the Beach House Restaurant.  Eileen and I had our 20th anniversary dinner there with our friends Valerie, Theresa and Ellen and it was a great time!  Oh and lastly, I don't know who the lady is in the foreground of this shot, but she adds some interest, yes? :-)
