Minute Maid Park Pre-Game Panorama

On August 9th, Eileen and I took Eileen's sister Annette, her son/our nephew Dylan and Dylan's friend Wyatt to Minute Maid Park in Houston to see the Astros play the Rangers.  It was a great place to see a game especially since it has a retractable roof.  That means outdoors when it's nice weather and indoors when it's hot.  And August in Texas is HOT!!!  Too hot to do anything outside, especially watch a baseball game!

We all had a great time!  Yu Darvish even pitched for the Rangers.  However, he gave up a lot of hits and runs and the Rangers lost 7-3.  Now Darvish is out for the rest of the year with elbow inflammation or something like that.  So, we saw him pitch his last game this year!  Cool, but yet a bummer at the same time.

Whenever we go to sporting events, I like to get a quick panorama from either our seats or some other vantage point.  This time, I just took it from our seats and I shot it prior to the game starting.  I feel a little weird about taking it during the game as I don't want to interfere with other fans enjoyment by standing up and shooting several shots to get it done. I hate to be in people's way because I don't like it when people are in my way.  At least that's what I like to tell myself!

(To see some of my other stadiums panoramas, click here.  I think my fave so far is from Rangers Stadium in Arlington during the day, but I digress.)

So here's the finished product!  You can see Dylan with the sunglasses on his head in the lower-right corner of the shot along with his mop-top friend Wyatt!  Wyatt has lots of hair but he was a good kid!  Maybe I'm jealous of his hair 'cause at my age, there isn't much left!

Anyway, hope you like the picture and thanks for dropping by!

Oh and lastly, click on the picture itself so you can see a larger version.  This little thing here on the blog does not do it justice!
