Eileen and I recently took a trip to the east coast and I'll talk more about that in subsequent posts. However, one of the things we did while out that way was see the last home game of the Red Sox at Fenway Park. I can see why Red Sox fans are Red Sox fans. That's a beautiful stadium. Also, two nights ago was a huge day in Major League Baseball history. The Tampa Bay Rays came back from a 7-0 deficit to beat the Yankees 8-7 in 12 innings while the Red Sox lost to the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. The Sox were something like 9 games ahead of the Rays in the wild card race starting in September and they went 7 - 20 and lost their chance to make the playoffs. The Rays are in and the Sox are out. Analysts are saying it was the biggest collapse in Baseball history. And, since the Sox lost to the Orioles, that's who the Sox were playing the night we went to Fenway. That's an Oriole in front of "The Green Monster" wall in Fenway. BTW, the Orioles won that game 6-4. Hope you like the photo and thanks for visiting. Oh, and the next bunch of posts will be from our trip out that way, enough for you to get sick of, but I hope you keep dropping by anyway!
PS.. I'm a big Detroit Tigers fan so I'm glad they are in the playoffs! Beat the Yankees! It's on tonight at 7:30 CDT!
